CAPABILITIES

Storm King Group has been building commercial and institutional structures for more than 40 years in the Hudson Valley. A large portion of this work has been done at educational and medical facilities and thus has required that construction work be performed in occupied areas. In recent years, Storm King has been selected to perform restoration work on at least 10 projects listed on the National Historic Register.

 

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

Storm King Group utilizes the latest computer software technology for project management and accounting (COINS), estimating (Timberline), and scheduling (Microsoft Project), along with other administrative operations.

 

Our most outstanding resource is our people. Our staff is knowledgeable about all aspects of construction and includes individuals with advanced training in estimating, scheduling, and project management. Our supervisors and foremen in many cases have been trained in our New York State-registered apprenticeship program. Nearly 70% of our employees have been with the company for more than 12 years. This nucleus of skilled employees has completed hundreds of contracts in the Hudson Valley.

 

SAFETY

Storm King Group has received numerous safety awards and maintains a low EMR, which, for the volume of payroll involving areas of construction risk, is one of the most favorable in the State of New York.

We advocate partnering and dispute resolution rather than litigation to address problems in a timely manner.
